About the service
Are you a plumbing contractor?
No. We are a referral service. We match homeowners with independent, vetted plumbers in Pittsburgh and nearby Allegheny County. We never perform plumbing work ourselves.
What does it cost me?
Nothing. The plumber pays us for the referral. There is no charge to you at any point and no obligation to hire whoever we introduce you to.
Do you sell my details?
Your details go to one plumber so they can contact you about this job. We do not sell your information to a list and we do not add you to marketing lists.
How do you vet plumbers?
Current liability insurance, workers compensation, and a shop that actually runs calls in the ZIPs we send. Ask to see certificates before work starts.
What if the plumber does bad work?
Your contract is with them. Remedies run through them, the Pennsylvania Attorney General / licensing channels, and your own advisor. Tell us too. We stop referring shops that generate complaints.

How do I know if this is an emergency?
Water moving where it should not, sewage in living space, no water after a freeze, or a heater leaking onto a flame source. Details: the emergency guide.
Can a drain be cleaned instead of the sewer being replaced?
Often. A camera after the cable tells you whether you have grease, roots, or a collapsed clay run. Do not pay for a full replacement off a single snake.
Should I call PWSA first?
If multiple houses on the block have the same backup during a storm, start with PWSA at 412-255-2423 and get an incident number. Private laterals are still the homeowner's pipe.

How fast will someone contact me?
It depends on weather and how many bursts hit the city the same night. Active water is routed ahead of planning jobs.
Can I get a price over the phone?
No, and be wary of anyone who gives you one before seeing the line. Access, pipe material, and how far the damage runs are not visible from a description.
